  • 1984

    Marcylle starts her career in the industry as a field nurse

    Provided skilled nursing care to home care patients after serving as a nurse since 1975 in roles such as staff nurse, contract nurse and parent educator.

  • 1994

    Marcylle purchases her first home health agency

    After serving in multiple home health roles, Marcylle acquired her first agency.

  • 1995

    Foundation Management Services is created

    FMS was established as a management company to provide outstanding resources and comprehensive training for the managed hospice and home health and infusion agencies.

  • 1998

    MAC Group is formed

    Marcylle’s knowledge and desire to improve the industry and provide solutions, inspired the creation of the MAC Group. This division of FMS provided tools, clinical disease programs, consulting services and training for the entire home health and hospice industry.

  • 2002

    PathNotes is formed

    Building off the efforts of the MAC Group and industry demand for better clinical documentation, PathNotes was formed to provide a full suite of clinical documentation and clinical pathways.

    MAC Group and PathNotes consolidate into FMS

  • 2003

    Marcylle forms KindStar, Inc.

    Operating as Accolade Home Care and Accolade Hospice, KindStar, Inc. was incorporated January 2, 2003, with Marcylle Combs as the sole owner, to implement and operate a network of providers within Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma that provided cost effective home care and hospice services.

    FMS provides first ever outsourced coding solutions

    As the industry began to shift from paper documentation to point of care, FMS expanded the previous consulting (the MAC Group) and software initiatives (Pathnotes) and began to support the industry through outsourced coding solutions – the first of its kind.

  • 2007

    Twenty-Six Twelve

    Marcylle founded this non-profit that is dedicated to helping businesses provide support for their employees to serve others through mission trips, disaster relief, and in their local communities.

  • 2015

    The W Conference

    Marcylle created a Christ-centered, working-women’s conference designed to offer inspiration, encouragement and practical tools for the Christian working woman.

  • 2019

    FMS is rebranded as MAC Legacy to honor its history

    After growing the home health agency portion of the business with the organization expansion in three states, Marcylle sold the provider portion of the business and reformed FMS to continue to focus on resources, education, and outsourced coding solutions.

  • 2020

    MAC Legacy relaunches 26:12 (501c3)

    MAC Legacy’s culture and roots are founded on giving back to it’s community. The organization relaunches 26:12 to continue to provide a platform for it’s employees to give back to others as a community.

  • 2021

    Marcylle inducted into the HHFMA Hall of Fame

    The National Association for Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association inducted Marcylle Combs into the HHFMA Hall of Fame in July of 2021. Marcylle was recognized for her service and support of rural agencies and support to the industry.

    Marcylle elected to the NAHC Board of Directors

    The National Association for Home Care & Hospice is an essential partner to the health and vitality of the home care and hospice industry. Elected Board of Directors ensure this endures into the future.

    From the inception of the consulting and outsourced solutions division, MAC Legacy has grown exponentially.
