The Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) selection period is currently open for Illinois (Cycle 5) and Texas (Cycle 4) from March 1, 2022 through March 16, 2022. Selections made during this time will go into effect on April 1, 2022. Providers that DO NOT MAKE A SELECTION will automatically be placed in a default category based on their affirmation/approval rate from the previous cycles.
Default Categories:
- Providers that do not make a selection but have an affirmation/approval rate greater than 90% will be placed in Choice 4 – Selective Post-payment Review.
- Providers with an approval/affirmation rate less than 90% will be placed in Choice 2 – 100% Post-payment Review.
Currently, Pre-Claim Review (PCR) has been, and continues to be, the most popular choice among agencies in all RCD states. If you feel PCR is the best choice for your agency, you may select “Remain in Pre-Claim Review (PCR)” as you make your selection with PGBA. This will eliminate the need to make a selection during subsequent selection periods. Choosing this does not affect your ability to change to another review choice option in the future.
